Turner Scientific is excited to announce our newest Senior Scientist – Amanda Henton, PhD.
Dr. Henton brings not only a deep knowledge of neuroscience and hearing research, but also a love of music. “I play the oboe and have always loved music. It is because of this that I have dedicated my research efforts to understanding hearing and investigating treatments to restore auditory function.”
Dr. Henton earned a BS degree in psychology from Illinois College in Jacksonville, home of Turner Scientific. In fact, Jeremy Turner was one of her professors at IC, and was so impressed with Dr. Henton that he recruited her to join his research team after she completed her PhD program in Neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh.
The opportunity to work with different study sponsors and research a wide range of new technologies are among Dr. Henton’s favorite aspects of her position. She enjoys that “no two days are the same!”
In her spare time, she enjoys distance running and baking – especially French macaroons.
We welcome Dr. Henton to the TS team!
